COVID-19 and Knapton Musik Knotes

What a long, strange year it’s been….and it’s only October!

When schools closed in mid-March, auditoriums were left empty.
Live music ceased at the Janesville Performing Arts Center.
Music venues around the world closed their doors.

Here at Knapton Musik Knotes, classes and in-store performances were cancelled. Our showroom was closed. We moved music lessons to a virtual setting. We worked with our vendors to offer online shopping and digital downloading. We also started offering curbside and home delivery.

In taking a step back, It is truly amazing how many changes have been made since mid-March. We now have:

Smaller music class sizes
Virtual music concerts
Virtual music lessons
Live-streaming
Outside music performances
Brass and woodwind bell covers
Musician masks
Flute shields

We also have a new ‘employee’! Please give a big welcome to Charlie. If you come into the store, you might see him ‘working’ on occasion!

When Knapton Musik Knotes started 20 years ago, we could never have foreseen 2020 being like this! While many things may be different, the love of music will get us through. Thank you for continuing to shop local and for your support.
