Jake Wiele

Mr. Wiele teaches brass and woodwinds. He studied classical and jazz trumpet at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI earning his Bachelor's of Music in both Instrumental Music Education and Trumpet Performance in four years. While at LU, he performed in the Wind Ensemble under Dr. Andrew Mast which premiered a new work from LU composer John Mayrose at the 2013 CBDNA festival in North Carolina. As a member of Fred Sturm's jazz ensemble, LUJE, Mr. Wiele was fortunate to perform alongside artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Conrad Herwig, Danilo Perez, Christian McBride, Kurt Elling, Joel Frahm, and many others.

After graduating from LU in 2013, Mr. Wiele joined Royal Caribbean Cruises International as a member of the Legend of the Seas Orchestra where he performed and traveled from Quebec to Boston to Jamaica to South America to Mexico and San Diego, CA -- to name a few ports. Since Mr. Wiele has regained his "land legs," he relocated back to Kenosha, WI to help his father (who has been teaching band in the Kenosha School District for 30+ years) teach the summer Jazz Allstars program which he helped cofound in 2011.

Originally from Kenosha, Wisconsin, Mr. Wiele enjoys playing basketball and dabbling in photography in his spare time.
